Last
Friday, you should have received an email from Kim Collins that included
a notice to Regional Counsel (RC) attorneys regarding training on CRADAs
that will be offered to NPC personnel and Regional Counsel (RC)
attorneys from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. EST on Monday, December 14.
This
training will be conducted by Acting Deputy TTP Director Jeff Moore,
PhD, and OGC Staff Attorney Maryam Azarion. They will cover the basics
of CRADAs – “CRADA 101” – as well as VA policies and SOPs for reviews
and approvals.
The
target audience is NPC personnel and RC attorneys who have not yet
undergone training on CRADA fundamentals as well as anyone else who may
be interested in a refresher. If more time is needed to cover
everything, a second session will be offered in January.
The
training will be offered using VANTS, the VA conference call service.
Additionally, PowerPoint slides may be viewed in real time on a VA
computer by accessing VA’s online system. However, the slides will also
be sent by email prior to the call so only a phone line and the dial up
information are necessary to participate. Please watch for future
emails with the slides, dial up number and pass code, as well as the
instructions on how to use the online system.
To assess
interest in this call, and to ensure an adequate number of phone lines,
participants must pre-register. Send an email to Noahline Stuart
(Noahline.Stuart@va.gov)
with the names of everyone from your NPC who will dial in and the number
of lines that will be used by your NPC. To the extent practical, please
have everyone from your NPC listen in on the same line using a
speakerphone.
To summarize:
-
Please mark your calendar for 2:00 PM EST on Monday, December 14.
-
Send
an email to Noahline (Noahline.Stuart@va.gov)
with the names of your NPC’s participants and the number of phone
lines needed.
-
Watch
for an email with the slides attached as well as dial up and online
access information.
If you
have questions or don’t receive the slides or access information by
December 9, send an email to Noahline.
Many
thanks to Jeff and Maryam for conducting this training!
