Who Should Attend: Recently appointed NPC executive directors and senior staff are
highly encouraged to attend. This is also an opportunity for staff
members being groomed for more senior positions to be exposed to a wide
range of NPC management issues.
Why Attend:
Managing a VA-affiliated nonprofit research and education corporation
(NPC) is unlike running any other nonprofit. To help recently appointed
executive directors meet the challenges of their new appointments, and
to broaden senior staff knowledge of NPC fundamentals, NAVREF is
offering a one and a half day workshop in May. The content will
cover NPC management topics as well as VA functions relevant to NPCs. The
course objective is to foster well managed NPCs and effective working
relationships with VA medical center research personnel and other VA
medical center services important to NPC operations. To view the

This workshop will replace the "Special Session for New Executive
