* QuickBooks

A number of NPCs have experienced difficulties installing QuickBooks on VA computers.  Many thanks to Joy Mitchell, executive director in Gainesville, FL and Michelle Trimble, executive director in San Antonio, TX, VA has approved QuickBooks in the Technical Reference Model (TRM) with certain contraints.  To access more information, click on the following link (must access from the VA Intranet):  http://trm.oit.va.gov/ToolPage.asp?tid=6506

TechSoup

NPCs interested in purchasing QuickBooks may wish to look into TechSoup.org.  TechSoup.org is a one-stop resource for the technology needs of nonprofit organizations and they provide free information, resources and suppor.  In addition, TechSoup has a product philanthropy service called TechSoup Stock where nonprofits can access donated and discounted technology products, generously provided by corporate and nonprofit technology partners.  Nonprofits that join TechSoup can choose from over 200 products from 25 providers including Cisco, Intuit (QuickBooks) and Microsoft.  For additional information go to: http://www.techsoup.org
