WE ARE NAVREF

In 1992, the National Association of Veterans’ Research and Education Foundations (NAVREF) was founded by a group of dedicated Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) personnel that recognized the need for a membership association committed to the interests of the VA-affiliated research and education nonprofits. Since then, NAVREF has been the preeminent organization that helps nonprofit research and education corporations (NPCs) obtain funding for the conduct of research and education at VA facilities nationwide.

BI-MONTHLY NEWSLEtterS

Focused news and information relevant to our unique NPC community. Past editions are posted on the NAVREF website only for NAVREF member access.

SCRS MEMBErSHIP

NAVREF membership comes with SCRS membership too! SCRS offers several monthly webinar series on topics of interest to research sites.

CLINICAL TRIAL OPPORTUNITIES AND SEARCHES
NAVREF offers members the unique benefit to work with a single point of contact that connects industry opportunities with VA resources.

ADVOCACY

NAVREF is an active participant in advocacy efforts to advance VA research and development. This entails lobbying for increases in the annual appropriation for the VA medical and prosthetic research account, and connect with House and Senate Veterans Affairs Committees to highlight research and education issues pertinent to VA. We also work closely with VA and the VA Office of Research and Development to further the mission to deliver cutting edge healthcare to our nation's veterans.
